The history of Prosecco was born in the area of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, where, even today, the best Superior quality is produced.
In the heart of the province of Treviso, (few kilometers from Venice) since 2009 the hilly strip between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, has obtained the recognition of the DOCG for the 15 small city that make it up, delimiting the best suited area for the cultivation of Glera.
The properties of the land, the vineyards “embroidered by hand” and the experience of generations of winemakers contribute to enhance the characteristics of the Italian sparkling wine for excellence.
Through an extraordinary story, the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene has created over time an Italian style of drinking modern, informal and cheerful, appreciated and loved all over the world
Our property covers 15 hectares of vineyards cultivated mainly in Glera in a hilly area. Also from some years we cultivate Boschera, Incrocio Manzoni 13.0.25 and Raboso.
Particular attention is paid to the work done in the field as it’s the first essential phase to achieve high quality levels. We have embraced a philosophy cultivation that is based on sustainable agriculture, traditional handwork, passion and respect for nature and its cycles, evolved expression of our rural origins.
Malibran has the quality certification “Biodiversity Friend”, which express the quantity of animals and plants living in a given territory. In particular the vineyard of 5Grammi Rive di Santa Maria di Feletto got the record score of 245, with the presence of 17 families of organisms, some very rare!
“Biodiversity Friend” is a no-profit association open to all agricultural companies that believe in a model of sustainable agriculture, low environmental impact, all integrated in the landscape. In this sense, farmers become real guardians of the environmental integrity of the territory.
Historically the cellar was the old granary, the fulcrum of the rural village “Sottoriva”. The building has been renovated and expanded for the new structure, center of winemaking and production of our wines. The balance between modernity and tradition, a continuous dialogue between past and present, distinguish not only the building but also the techniques of winemaking and sparking process in our own wine. This give rise to balance to the wines that never lose their connection with the land and their origins.
